What are Anointing Oils?
I first was introduced to ceremonial anointing oils when I was in Peru back in the 1990’s. It was in South America where I first had a true appreciation of the symbolic references that seem to cross over religion. Oils have been used for thousands of year by every religion in ceremonies to assist in purification, protection, raising vibration, clearing negative energy, consecration, prayer and healing.
The ingredients used are based on the specific significance each has. Some essential oils are used to raise vibration, some essential oils are used in healing, essential oils are used in smudging ceremonies, for protection, to clear negative energy or just to release any negative energy accumulated throughout the day. There are even some essential oil blends used to promote self-love, reduce stress and assist in uplifting one's spirits.
